Recommendations:
Cage size
Hatchlings – Length 500mm, Depth 300mm, Hight 300mm.
Sub-adults – Length 700mm, Depth 400mm, Hight 450mm.
Adults – Length 900mm, Depth 450mm, Hight 500mm (or larger).
Heating
Heating pads or cables provide a great heat source. Only one side of the cage should be heated, allowing for a variance in temperature from one side to the other.
Lighting
Lighting is not necessary as long as there is a sufficient source natural light in the cage.
Take caution of direct sunlight in the cage for extended periods as this may result in extreme temperatures and prove lethal to your Corn snake!
If there is no sufficient natural light a UV light may be used. A 30watt UV is recommended.
Florescent lighting may be used for viewing purposes but shouldn’t be left on for periods of longer than 12 hours.
Water bowel
A large enough water bowel large enough for the snake to totally submerge in is needed.
Substrate
Reptile bark or Astroturf.
